Varta battery tops independent consumer magazine product test

An independent car battery test by Britain’s leading DIY car maintenance magazine has awarded maximum points to VARTA’s range-topping Silver Dynamic battery.

Tested against eight other mainstream 027 size car batteries from leading manufacturers, the VARTA battery topped the poll with a perfect 20/20 points score, and collects the “Best Car Mechanics Buy” accolade for 2011.

The exhaustive testing process undertaken by the consumer magazine adopted some of the principles of the tough EN 50342-1 standard. Marks were awarded for usability, durability, capacity and cold cranking.

In awarding perfect scores for performance and value for money to the VARTA Silver Dynamic battery, Car Mechanics confirms that it agrees with the product’s reputation as one of the best car batteries on the market.

VARTA’s Blue Dynamic battery came third in the consumer publication’s test and is “Recommended” to readers, with an overall score of 18 out of 20. “This is still a highly impressive battery featuring VARTA’s unique PowerFrame construction,” says the magazine.
