New homes coming soon to Rubery

Homebuyers in the Bromsgrove area will soon have more to choose from with the launch of Redrow’s latest development in Rubery.
Featuring designs from the critically acclaimed New Heritage Collection, Great Park will offer a selection of family homes with four, five and six bedrooms.
Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era, the homes will look traditional from the outside, but inside they will boast bright, modern interiors styled for 21st century living.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that’s proving popular with homebuyers across the Midlands and we are confident that it will be just as successful in Rubery. Combining the best of old and new, the designs enable homebuyers to enjoy the charm and character of ‘period’ properties but without the drawbacks of expensive repairs and renovations that an older home may need.”
Some of the features which typify the Arts and Crafts era – and will be seen to varying degrees in homes at Great Park – include dropped eaves, projecting plinths, bays and other distinctive window styles, often with leaded lights. Other highlights include timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows, supported by decorative gallows brackets, and the use of larch lap boarding, while front door styles and colours also reflect the ‘heritage’ feel.
Full of family friendly features, the homes enjoy convivial open plan layouts with statement-making kitchens and sleek modern bathrooms and en-suites.
The true beauty of the designs will be seen next month (April) when the doors to two professionally dressed show homes are due to open.
“The four-bedroom ‘Salisbury’ show home with its traditional bay window in the lounge is a prime example of why these styles have stood the test of time,” Pauline explained
“The ‘Salisbury’ benefits from a combined kitchen-diner that boasts integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage. It also features a dedicated study that’s ideal for parents working at home or for children to complete their homework without distraction. Journey upstairs and two of the bedrooms enjoy the convenience of an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.”
Close to the Great Park leisure and retail facilities, there’s plenty to keep residents of the new Redrow homes at Great Park occupied. And with easy access to the M5, the development’s well placed for commuting.
The show homes are due to open at Easter, but in the meantime potential purchasers can ‘see’ inside the New Heritage Collection any time of day or night thanks to the extensive video footage online at: redrow.tv
