Family friendly Alpine holidays

Take a break from the beach and head to the mountains this summer!

With its stunning scenery, great value, child-friendly accommodation and fantastic facilities for just 1 euro / day (including tennis courts, open air swimming pools, play areas & toy town trains) the pretty mountain town of Morzine in the French Alps makes for an exciting and affordable alternative to the traditional family beach holiday.

Family activities including Swimming and Tennis for just 1 Euro a day

The Portes du Soleil Multi pass is amazing value - just one Euro per person per day gives you and your family access to 25 pedestrian chairlifts and cable cars as well as a wide range of activities including entrance to five swimming pools, two swimming lakes & beaches, 9 tennis centres, 2 ice rinks, 3 tourist trains, inter-resort bus services, and admission to five heritage sites (the Abondance Abbey; the Alps Valley Heritage Centre; the Maison du Val historical centre; the Mechanical Music Museum in Les Gets; and the Tine watermills). The rudechalets team can organise Multi passes for their guests upon arrival in the resort.

Other activities in and around Morzine

Morzine is a charming Savoyard town with bustling cafés, lively bars, good quality restaurants, and local boutique-style shops. The surrounding lush green slopes, tranquil lakes, playful rivers and striking cliffs provide a natural playground for innumerable outdoor summer activities for every age and ability. After a brief break in May, the local amenities and lifts re-open to provide access to the Portes du Soleils 650km of biking and hiking trails. In addition to biking and hiking the more adventurous holiday maker can try white water rafting, canyoning, parapenting, quad biking, water skiing and hydro speeding. For those who prefer a more relaxing holiday they can soak up the alpine sunshine, swim in the lakes, join a French language school, visit a museum, play golf, summer sledge, play tennis and walk or bike along wooded, river-side trails.

Good quality child-friendly accommodation

The range and quality of accommodation on offer in the mountains is often far superior and much better value than the apartments and villas available in the more traditional beach-based summer holiday destinations.

From just £79 per person per week (based on a family group of 10 sharing) rudechalets offer beautiful and well-equipped, self-catered chalet accommodation in the heart of the lively alpine town of Morzine. All bedrooms are ensuite each with XBOX 360s / LCD screens. There is a table football, media centre, fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer), cozy lounge with wide-screen satellite TV as well as a huge terrace balcony with outdoor furniture and a gas Bar-B-Q.

To reduce the amount of luggage families need to bring out with them, rudechalets summer chalets come fully equipped with high chairs, travel cots, a baby bath and plastic plates and cups. We can also organise mountain buggy rental, places in the local crèche, an in chalet nanny service, activity guides and return airport transfers from Geneva if required.

Getting there: Geneva airport is just 90 minutes transfer by car (rudechalets can organise return airport transfers) and all three resorts are a 9 hour drive from Calais.
