Properties at Miller Homes’ Unity Quarter are selling fast. The last few ‘Pacific’ 1 and 2-bed apartments are now released at this flagship development with the HomeBuy Direct and MiWay equity schemes still available, whilst plots last.

For people that qualify, buyers on the HomeBuy Direct scheme could own one of these stylish new apartments for just £48,965 now. This figure is based on a full purchase price for a one-bed Pacific apartment of £69,950 with an equity loan of 30%. Two bed apartments are available for just £79,065 now, with a full purchase price of £112,950. The equity loan is co-funded by the Government and Miller Homes and is interest free for the first five years. With only a minimum of a 5% deposit required on the amount of borrowings, buyers can avoid the high mortgage deposit demanded since the credit crunch.

The HomeBuy Direct scheme was created to help first time buyers, key workers, and people returning to the property market after living abroad or experiencing a relationship breakdown. Households with an income of less than £60,000 and unable to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market are also eligible for the scheme.

For some none HomeBuy Direct plots, Miller Homes offers MiWay, its own equity sheme. For people that qualify for MiWay the scheme offers an equity loan of up to 25% of the property value. After ten years, or when the proprerty is sold you simply pay back the loan. There is also no interest payable for the first five years.

Because these equity schemes offer a stepping-stone approach to home ownership, getting onto the property ladder can be often be a cheaper option than renting. These schemes have helped hundreds of people into home ownership and breakaway from rental trap, where all their money is going to pay the rent, leaving nothing to save towards a deposit.

One further option is available for home buyers that have saved a deposit – Miller Homes Deposit Match scheme. With Deposit Match, whatever you have saved for your new home deposit, up to 5% of the property value, Miller Homes will double it.

“People like the choice of incentives, location, space and specification” says Helen Toher-Horne, Miller Homes Sales Manager. “Travel just three miles in either direction and you can be in the centre of the city or on the M60. A ‘Pacific’ apartment make an ideal first home. The crisp and modern exterior complements the flexible open plan living space. The apartments boast a good standard specification that includes, an allocated parking space, uPVC double glazing and French doors, gas central heating, a stainless steel kitchen appliance package and a 10 year NHBC warranty, giving buyers peace of mind for years to come. Plus a two bedroom apartment provides space for friends to home share or have family stay over.”

For details of the incentive schemes and to view the show apartment, visit the Unity Quarter marketing suite located on Oaklands Road, Kersal, Salford, M7 3GP. It is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm Thursday to Monday.
