Titan HiTours says ‘Aloha’ to Hawaii

6th April 2011 Print

Titan HiTours has unveiled its much-anticipated selection of group holidays to the USA and Canada for 2011/2012.

The programme contains a full range of individually-themed escorted tours encompassing the whole of mainland Canada and the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, with a full range of exciting holiday ideas comprising a mix of overland, cruise, rail, multi-centre and cross-border options.

A particular highlight are the five brand new itineraries, the first of these is an island-hopping itinerary to discover The Natural Wonders of Hawaii.  This 16-day tour starts and ends on the island of Oahu and continues via Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii itself.  Each of these paradise islands is fully explored in detail, with highlights including a four-night stay at Waikiki Beach, a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Centre (with traditional Hawaiian Luau dinner and dancing) and a day-trip to Volcanoes National Park - home to one of the world's most active volcanic landscapes.  There is one departure 23rd October 2011 and five from April – Nov 2012, with the holiday costing from £3,395 per person.

Spurred by the enduring popularity of the California and the Golden West itinerary (which remains the company's all-time best-selling holiday and which celebrates its 25th year in 2011 ), Titan HiTours has taken the step of introducing a brand new tour to the Golden State for 2011/2012. This new tour of the region is California Revealed: Gold, Wine and Coastline.  Focusing on some of the state's less-visited 'gems', this 16-day itinerary takes in the scenic beauty of Lake Tahoe, the state capital of Sacramento, the wineries of the Napa Valley and the incredibly dramatic coastline of Big Sur.  The tour also includes a three-night stay in San Francisco, with other highlights including excursions to both Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks and a visit to the Queen Mary (once the grandest ocean liner ever built, but now retired and permanently docked in Long Beach).  There are three departure dates in 2011 (in September and October) and costs from £1,945 per person.

The other three new itineraries are all Caribbean cruises, which are booming in popularity for Titan HiTours.  Each of these three new additions are of 18-day durations, making them ideal for those customers seeking an extended sunshine escape.  The Best of the Caribbean itinerary, for example, marries a 14-night cruise on the Fred. Olsen ship Braemar with a two-night stay at the luxurious Half Moon Resort, one of the most exclusive hideaways on the island of Jamaica.  There are two possible departure dates, each of which follows a slightly different routing.  The 24 November departure takes in the islands of Grenada, Curacao and Roatan alongside the Yucatan Peninsula, the historic Colombian city of Cartagena and the Panamanian sea port of Colon.  The 6 December departure, meanwhile, visits Cozumel, Havana, Nassau (Bahamas), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Tortola, Antigua, Martinique and St Lucia before ending the odyssey in Barbados.  Both holidays cost from £2,145 per person.

For those looking to spend Christmas in the Caribbean an 18 itinerary from £3,295 per person allows customers to enjoy the festive season on the high seas.  The holiday combines a two-night stay in the colonial splendour of the Savannah Hotel in Barbados with a 14-night cruise aboard the Braemar, with both Christmas and New Year being celebrated in the warmth of the Caribbean sunshine.  Departing on 20 December 2011, the adventure takes in a total of ten different islands, with Christmas Day at sea being a particular high point.  Those with a real passion for the high seas might perhaps choose the 18-day Jewels of the Caribbean itinerary, which involves a relaxing transatlantic crossing (again on the Braemar, with direct departure from Dover on 8 November) followed by a leisurely cruise around the Caribbean islands of St Maarten, Tortola, St Kitts, Antigua, St Lucia and Barbados.  This holiday costs from £1,895 per person.

Commenting on the new USA and Canada programme, Dan Whitehouse, Marketing Director said, “North America’s vastness guarantees an overwhelming array of holiday experiences and our escorted tours will ensure that customers get the most out of their valuable holiday time.  As with all Titan HiTours, value for money is always guaranteed - and with our experienced and knowledgeable Tour Managers on hand to facilitate throughout every one of our itineraries, customers can relax in the knowledge that they'll have the holiday of a lifetime every time."

All holiday costs include flights, transfers, accommodation (full-board on a cruise), various excursions as detailed in the itinerary plus the unique VIP Home Departure Service.
