People looking for a new home near Selby should act fast to avoid disappointment.

Redrow’s Mulberry Grange development in Hambleton is proving popular with purchasers, with nine properties sold in the last two months. It means that the development is fast approaching sell-out with only 10 homes yet to be sold.

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: “We take pride in building quality homes that people really want to live and in ensuring that moving is as simple and straight forward as possible for our customers. The sales success we have seen at Mulberry Grange is testament to the high standards of workmanship our customers have come to expect. It also reflects our commitment to customer care, as shown in the recent 5-star rating Redrow received from the House Builders’ Federation customer satisfaction survey.”

Despite the limited availability, there’s still plenty to choose from at Mulberry Grange as the remaining homes include two, three and four-bedroom designs from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection.

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era, they offer the charm and character of ‘period’ properties, but with interiors styled for 21st century family living.

Prices range from £139,995 for a two-bedroom ‘Evesham’ style property, to £284,995 for a four-bedroom ‘Cambridge’, all of which are ‘build complete’ and ready to move into.

As well as being bright, modern and efficient to run, the homes offer other potential cost savings over the second hand sector. Redrow has calculated that it can cost around £30,000 to bring an older three-bedroom property up to the same high standard of one of its stylish new homes.

“Buying a supposedly ‘cheaper’ old property can be a false economy,” Patsy explained. “The cost of installing a new kitchen, appliances and bathrooms, plus energy efficient heating, replacement windows and a whole host of other features soon adds up. By purchasing a new home instead, house hunters could save themselves a small fortune in DIY costs, not to mention time and energy. I would urge anyone who’s serious about buying a new home in Hambleton to visit Mulberry Grange without delay to be in with a chance of snapping up one of the final properties.”

Just a short journey from Selby town centre, Mulberry Grange enjoys a picturesque village setting. Strong commuter links by road and rail mean that the cities of Leeds and York are easily accessible.
