Natural Wine Fortnight is two weeks of celebrations to promote natural wine with restaurants, bars, gastro-pubs and wine shops around the country, from Glasgow down to Cornwall, all taking part from 9th - 22nd May 2011.

Observer Food Monthly wrote that 2011 is the year of natural wine and BBC Radio 4's Food Programme recently dedicated a programme to this very subject. Awareness for natural wine is growing and this is the perfect time to launch Natural Wine Fortnight from 9th-22nd May 2011. The highlight of the two weeks will be the Natural Wine Fair at Borough Market on 15th May.

Throughout the fortnight over 100 restaurants, bars, gastro-pubs and wine shops will be highlighting natural wines by running promotions with samples and offers giving the public the opportunity to expand their wine tastes. An impressive list of venues are taking part in the fortnight, highlights of which include Michael Caines @ Abode, Lamberts, Brawn, Terroirs, Great Queen Street, Artisan & Vine, Hibiscus, Bar Battu, Black's Club, Chez Bruce, Comptoir Gascon, Fifteen, Gaulthier Soho, Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor, La Trouvaille, Marcus Wareing, Ottolenghi Nopi, The Modern Pantry, Trinity, Wholefoods and many more.

Natural wines are wines that have received little intervention in the winery, are produced without chemicals and additives and are made with grapes grown in a natural environment without the use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides.

Natural Wine Fortnight and the accompanying fair are the brainchild of Isabelle Legeron MW and five wine importers who, between them, represent dozens of different natural wine producers here in the UK.
