Get down on the dancefloor with the Citroen C4 Robot

Citroen C4 Robot One of the year’s most recognisable television advertisements is now set to inspire a new clubland dance craze, with the release of the soundtrack behind Citroen’s popular C4 dancing robot ad.

The music behind the C4 robot’s now famous computerised dance sequence went straight into the top ten of the UK Charts. ‘Jacques Your Body’ by Les Rythmes Digitales was initially released in 1997, yet such has been the demand following Citroen’s cult TV advert that it is now one of the hottest tracks in Britain.

Now, the original dance sequence, conceived by Justin Timberlake’s choreographer no less, is set to be imitated by club-goers up and down the country. Having already inspired a raft of spoof viral adverts online, Citroen’s dancing robot returned to the screens earlier last month with a new ‘Warm Down’ routine.

The popularity of the single is another feather in the cap of the young Brit behind Les Rythmes Digitales, Stewart Price, who can also credit artistes including Madonna, Scissor Sisters and Gwen Stefani amongst his work as a much sought-after producer.
