Homebuyers seeking a quick move should get along to Mandale Park in Thornaby, where Barratt North East has a selection of stylish new homes ready to move into now.

There are 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes to suit first-time buyers and families, all complete with carpets, curtains and light fittings.

Prices start from £107,995 and Barratt has a choice of helpful purchase schemes including its Head Start initiative, specifically designed for buyers who want to get on the housing ladder as soon as possible but don’t have the large deposit required by some lenders.

The scheme brings the move-in price of a 2-bedroom “Washington” terraced house down to £91,795 – and means buyers need a deposit of just £4,590.

This is one of the housebuilder’s best-selling homes for first-time buyers who appreciate its open-plan layout, two double bedrooms and 624 sq ft of living space.

It has a good-sized living room with dining area and French windows opening out into the garden, fully-fitted kitchen complete with oven, hob and hood, a downstairs cloakroom and useful store cupboard.

“Our message is very simple – you could move into a new Barratt home now for just 85 per cent of the price and with a minimal deposit,” said Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director at Barratt North East.

“With Head Start, you would need a deposit of just five per cent and only an 80 per cent mortgage. That means lower monthly repayments and access to more affordable mortgage rates.”

Under Head Start, homebuyers can purchase a new Barratt home for just 85 per cent of the asking price, with an 80 per cent mortgage and a five per cent deposit. The remaining 15 per cent is paid back, interest free, after 10 years or when the property is sold – whichever comes sooner.

For homeowners wanting to move, but struggling to find a buyer in the current market, Barratt could buy their old property in just seven days through its part exchange service.

There are no estate agents’ fees to pay, you side-step most of the hassle and cost usually associated with selling and because Barratt is a guaranteed cash buyer, there’s no dreaded ‘chain’ or last-minute price haggling.

“This probably sounds like a very good deal to anyone currently struggling to sell their old place,” said Fenton. “You could be settled into your new home ready for the summer. I would urge anyone interested to call us today to find out more.”

More than 300 Barratt homes are now occupied at Mandale Park, which enjoys a convenient location with schools, shops and leisure amenities nearby, plus Thornaby’s new town centre and Teesside Retail Park, and good bus services. The development is also within a few minutes’ drive of the A19.

Three superb showhomes are open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
