Corporate golf day goes with a swing at Carden Park

A team from Premier League club Wolves swapped their football stadium for the golf course to triumph at Carden Park’s annual corporate golf tournament.

Their success came as business customers, including Virgin Trains and American Golf, were invited to tee off for a day of golfing fun at the four-star hotel, golf resort and spa as a thank you for their support.

Guests were welcomed with a pre-game brunch in the clubhouse, followed by a chance to practise their swing at the driving range before putting their skills to the test on one of two stunning championship courses at the resort - the 18-hole Nicklaus Course, designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve.

Karen Proctor, golf business manager at Carden Park, said: “The day was a great success and we congratulate the Wolves team on their impressive win.

“Our corporate golf day is an event we hold annually to express our gratitude to our business customers and give them the chance to experience a fantastic day of golf, take in the beautiful views over our 1,000 acre country estate and round off the day with a delicious three-course dinner.”

Carden Park’s golf pedigree is impeccable. In addition to the The Nicklaus Course, golfers can test their skills on The Cheshire Course. There is also a driving range with 13 covered and eight uncovered bays.

The resort is a holder of the prestigious ‘Golf Mark’ from the English Golf Union (EGU), for its junior and beginner friendly golf facilities. The ‘Golf Mark’ also means parents can easily identify a club that provides a safe and organised environment for children.

Carden Park offers a variety of corporate golf packages and is currently offering a ‘Spring Saver’ package – with the chance to play a round of golf, with tea, coffee and bacon rolls included, for just £30 per person Monday to Friday (£40 at weekends).
