To celebrate the start of the summer holiday season, Porsche is offering owners of its open-top models a complimentary vehicle inspection on 4 June at participating Porsche Centres nationwide, to help ensure all Porsche cabriolet owners maximise their open-air driving pleasure this summer.

All Porsche cabriolets are welcome, whatever their age or model; whether it is a 356 Speedster, a 1994 968 Cabriolet, or the latest Boxster Spyder or 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

The national Porsche Cabriolet and Roadster Service Clinic provides owners with a complimentary inspection of their car and the opportunity to accompany the technician in the state of the art workshop at their local Porsche Centre. These Service Clinics will also provide customers with information and advice to ensure that the operation of the hood folding mechanism is correct and that the roof remains wind and weather-proof. Further checks will ensure the expected safety, reliability, and performance levels of their cars are maintained.

Each Porsche Centre will also be hosting various activities, specific to each, such as classic open-topped Porsche showroom displays, cabriolet roof treatment demonstrations, light refreshments, and Le Mans-themed displays.

The 4 June Service Clinics are being held a week before the famous Le Mans 24 Hours race weekend in France, which will also allow racing fans to make final preparations to their open-top treasures before making their annual trip to the celebrated race.

In recognition of the proximity to the Le Mans race, every participating Porsche Centre is holding a prize draw, giving owners attending the Service Clinics the chance to win a 1:43 scale model 917, hand signed by 1970 Le Mans winner Richard Attwood, two pieces of Porsche Aluframe Luggage, and a Porsche Cabriolet Car Care Kit.

The Porsche Cabriolet and Roadster Service Clinic follows on from the highly successful 911 Service Clinic held in October last year, during which over 500 Porsche 911s were inspected in Porsche Centres across the country over the course of the day, giving owners a chance to learn more about the intricate nature of their cars; and more recently, the Cayenne Clinic in March 2011, which attracted over 300 visitors.
