So why not invest in an original 1950s piece of furniture? Treat your home to an iconic design from vintage furniture gallery Decoratum.

This incredible space, hidden away under Alfie's Antique Market in London's Marylebone, has, until now, been the closely guarded secret of interior designers and international collectors. This is about to change, however, with the launch of its new website decoratum.com and its charismatic owner Jeff Salmon stepping into the public eye as one of the main buyers in the new eight part TV series, Four Rooms, coming to Channel 4 this spring. Decoratum owner, Jeff says: 'Not only is buying vintage the ultimate green purchase but, so often, it is cheaper to buy vintage than buying a modern copy of the same model. Investment wise, when you become bored with a vintage purchase you can sell it very easily on the open market whereas a modern copy will rarely hold its value.'

Located in Marylebone, London, Decoratum is home to some of the most desirable pieces of contemporary and 20th century furniture, lighting and artwork.
