Donington Historic Festival this weekend

Donington Park will welcome one of the richest and most diverse spectacles in motorsport this weekend (31st April - 1st May), as the Donington Historic Festival returns in a new action-packed two-day format, running on Saturday and Sunday.
With an incredible line-up of historic machines confirmed for the two-day festival, fans can expect to see a rich variety, running from the 1930s to 1980s, including Group C Le Mans sportscars, Porsche 917s, Ferrari GTOs, pre-War Bentleys, Alfa Romeos, Bugattis, plus many more.
Conceived as a three-day event originally, the Donington Historic now packs all the action into two, with family friendly ticket pricing a key element to the festival. Event organiser, Duncan Wiltshire explained, "We know that the cost of taking the whole family to a motorsport festival can seem prohibitive, so we have decided to keep ticket prices right down. The popularity of historic motorsport has rocketed in recent years, with huge numbers of spectators enjoying the sights and sounds of fabulous, famous machinery, flat-out on a race track; but it has also tended to become a very expensive day out. We want the Donington Historic Festival to offer all the thrills of the top, established events but at a price that ordinary families can afford.”
Advanced tickets for the festival are on sale until 2PM on Thursday 28th April, and start at just £18 with free admission for accompanied under-16 years olds.
