Top of the class for Citroen’s C4 Picasso No other compact MPV is safer than the brand new, seven-seater Citroen C4 Picasso, according to the latest Euro NCAP results.

Set to go on sale in the UK early next year, the super stylish C4 Picasso has scored a massive 35 points out of 37 for adult occupant protection, to lead the compact MPV class for safety.

The Citroen C4 Picasso’s maximum 5 star Euro NCAP rating puts it in the same league as the C4, C5, C6 and C8 models. The latest model also scored 3 stars for child protection and 2 stars for pedestrian safety.

The C4 Picasso is crammed with safety features such as seven airbags, ABS with EBD and EBA plus ESP with traction control. Other safety innovations for the sector include Citroen’s unique Lane Departure Warning System, dual-function directional headlamps and a tyre pressure warning system, four Isofix seats and seven seatbelt warning lights.

Under the skin, the Citroen C4 Picasso benefits from a new approach to energy absorption in frontal impacts and features innovative structural inserts made from lightweight honeycomb-polyamide composite to increase body stiffness.

Earlier this year, Citroen collected the prestigious What Car? Safety Award in recognition of the industry leading advances the Company has made in setting new standards for occupant and pedestrian safety.
