Eco car marketplace brings a little green to Gumball 3000
For the launch of the 13th annual Gumball 3000 rally, EcoForecourt.com, the first online marketplace to specialise in the listing of eco cars, has been commissioned by the international supercar rally to help raise the profile of eco transport and add a greener element to an otherwise fuel thirsty entourage.
Working together with leading manufacturers and forward thinking organisations, EcoForecourt is joining the Gumball starting grid with a selection of some of the best production and concept cars to date that focus on the future of motoring by making it fast, fun and inherently desirable.
One of the rarest performance cars in the world, the Peugeot EX1, will be adorning the EcoForecourt display, along with the cross continental Radical SR-0 from the Racing Green Endurance team, a 100% Electric Range Rover from Liberty cars and many more.
Be it through hybrid technology, electric motors or simply better fuel economy, almost every major manufacturer has announced a variety of low-carbon vehicles that are hitting show rooms now and in the near future, in turn pledging their dedication to the future of sustainable motoring.

The 2011 Gumball 3000 Rally is taking off from Covent Garden 26th May, arriving at the finish line in Istanbul, via the Monaco Grand Prix and other exotic locations in-between. As always the rally attracts everyone from rock stars to royalty, with an entry grid of 120 amazing cars and 300 participants, the 2011 Gumball Rally will be nothing short of spectacular! From the worlds of Hollywood, Action Sports and Music, stars will converge to take their place on the grid, as well as Gumball Alumni greats such as Xzibit, skateboard god Tony Hawk, David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff & R’N’B star Eve!
