Grenada set for tourism boost with new flights from UK
Grenada is set for a tourism boost as the latest new flight to the Caribbean island goes on sale.
The new flight, operated on Mondays from 31 October 2011 by Virgin Atlantic, is now available to book and brings the number of UK departures from Gatwick to Grenada to five each week: British Airways on Sunday and Tuesday; Monarch Airlines on Wednesday; and Virgin Atlantic on Monday and Thursday.
Grenada Board of Tourism General Manager UK & Ireland, Sharon Bernstein said: “Gone are the days of rigid seven or fourteen night holidays, and the addition of another Virgin flight means Grenada provides UK travellers with greater flexibility such as ten night packages.”
British Airways recently introduced First Class on selected Grenada services and the exclusive-hire ten-suite Calivigny Island Beach House opens its doors this summer. Agents can find out more at Grenadagrenadines.com.
