Anniversary cashback from npower starts today

Today (Wednesday 4 May), marks the one year anniversary of npower’s pioneering boiler and central heating care product - hometeam 50 – which offers customers 50% of their annual fee back if they haven’t called out npower’s hometeam during their 12 month contract.

From today, hundreds of hometeam 50 customers will be receiving up to £90 cash back having reached their 12 month anniversary with the company. The energy giant is estimated to pay up to £718,000 this year alone, with more than 500 customers expected to receive their cashback in May and the majority of eligible customers receiving £90.

npower hometeam 50 is available for boiler care and central heating care, both working under the same principle – if the customer doesn’t call out npower’s hometeam to work on their boiler or central heating during the 12 month care plan, npower will automatically return 50% of the annual cost.

The cost of hometeam 50 also includes an annual boiler service, usually worth £75.57, meaning customers will get the reassurance of care for 12 months AND a service and could still receive their 50% cash back.

Emily Stagg, npower hometeam 50 manager, comments: “It makes sense to give something back to our customers if they don’t use the product. With hometeam 50, you have the peace of mind that you are covered should anything go wrong. No other provider offers this and that’s why we have had a significant uptake in the last year.”

npower hometeam 50 boiler care flexi starts from £10.50 a month, and hometeam 50 central heating care starts from £16 a month and both include an annual service worth £75.57. In October last year, npower also extended hometeam 50 boiler and central heating care to be available to all UK residents, even if they are not npower customers. In order to take advantage of the 50% No Call Out Cash Back, homeowners just need to sign up to and be receiving npower’s gas and electricity supply before the end of their 12 month agreement and have not needed call out.
