Racegoer, Steve Wang, 21, beat off thousands of other entrants to become the first man to win the contest, which was judged by a panel that included local celebrities Sheree Murphy (ex-Emmerdale) and Sarah Dunn (ex-Hollyoaks). Celebrity fashionista Coleen McLoughlin then presented him with the keys to the C4 By LOEB in front of millions, live on BBC1.

As official partner to the Grand National, Citroen provided its stunning executive flagship, the C6, as well as the acclaimed new seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso, to chauffeur VIPs, celebrities and course officials throughout the three day meeting.

Citroen’s involvement at the world’s most famous steeplechase meeting continued with sponsorship of the C4 Picasso Mersey Novices’ Hurdle, won by Tidal Bay, and the Citroen C6 Sefton Novices’ Hurdle, won by Chief Dan George.
