Citroen UK opens its largest-ever dealership

Citroen Retail Group is opening one of the biggest solus franchise, single site dealerships in the UK - Citroen Coventry. This flagship, multi-million pound development also ranks as the Company’s largest-ever dealership in the country.

Xavier Duchemin, Citroen UK’s managing director, says, “Citroen Coventry is another key development in the Company’s UK expansion programme. This flagship dealership is located in one of the country’s major conurbations, providing massive potential for increasing Citroen retail and fleet sales in the area. It will also provide the necessary high quality, convenient after-sales service demanded by private and business vehicle buyers.”

Sited just off the A45, at the entrance to the prestigious Coventry Business Park,
Citroen Coventry opens for business on 20th April 2007 with a three day launch event, including special attractions and a strong range of new car and van offers. Visitors will also get the chance to look round the Company’s newest models, including the acclaimed, just launched 5-seat C4 Picasso and 7-seat Grand C4 Picasso compact MPVs.

The new, two storey dealership at Herald Avenue, Coventry Business Park, Coventry CV5 6UB (tel: 02476 718300), is built on a massive 11,331sq.m (2.8 acre) site which includes:-

- a spacious 10 car showroom
- a dedicated two van Business Centre sales operation
- 12 vehicle service/repair bays (8 x car/4 x commercial vehicle)
- automated Class 7 MOT bays
- a dedicated new vehicle preparation centre
- external capacity to display up to 100 new and used vehicles
- plenty of customer parking

The new dealership will employ around 60 people, including up to 12 sales staff for new, business and used vehicle sales. It will be open for vehicle sales seven days a week (8.30am - 7.00pm Monday to Friday/9.00am – 6.00pm Saturday/11.00am – 5.00pm Sunday). Its service and parts operation will be open from 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Saturday.

With the opening of Citroen Coventry the Citroen Retail Group now has seven distributorships in major UK conurbations, the others being Citroen City (London E1), Citroen London West (Brentford, Middlesex), Citroen Birmingham, Citroen Manchester, Citroen Manchester South (Sale) and Citroen Glasgow. The Citroen Retail Group now employs approaching 400 people, and will handle almost 20,000 new and used vehicles a year providing an annual turnover of some £250 million.
