Spring sporting highlights at Rome Cavalieri

Tennis
Rome’s most prestigious tennis tournament, “Internazionali di Tennis” takes place from the 7 to 15 May 2011. Many of the biggest names in tennis, from Nadal and Murray to the Williams sisters, are due to take part and the Eternal City will be gripped by tennis fever. Rome Cavalieri’s Concierge can purchase prime tickets for guests wishing to soak up the vibrant tournament. Back at the hotel, guests can perfect their backhand on the Rome Cavalieri’s Davis Cup size tennis courts with coach Mario Bartoni, who played tennis for Italy in the 1960s and has a longstanding collaboration with the Rome Cavalieri. You will be following in the footsteps of many famous tennis players including Bjorn Borg, Adriano Panatta and Novak Djokovic have all trained at Rome Cavalieri.
 
Polo
Rome is home to Italy’s oldest and most prestigious polo club. The Roma Polo Club runs a busy schedule of tournaments from April to October, including a famous night-time tournament held in June. Rome Cavalieri can arrange for guests to be invited by the President of Roma Polo Club permitting them to attend the official Polo Tournaments. Polo lessons for adults and children (aged 4 to 16) can also be arranged with one of the Polo Club’s trainers.
 
Golf
Rome Cavalieri has negotiated an exclusive partnership with the prestigious Parco di Roma Golf Club, which is normally closed to non-members, enabling guests to enjoy a round on the superb 18-hole championship course. There are a number of golf tournaments taking place throughout the spring and summer which Rome Cavalieri guests can attend. Golf Pros are also available to provide swing analysis and coaching.
 
If all this sporting activity leaves guests feeling somewhat exhausted they can retreat to the sanctuary of Rome Cavalieri’s tranquil gardens, complete with three outdoor swimming pools, or cocoon themselves at the opulent Grand Spa with indoor swimming pool and magnificent amethyst Turkish Bath.
