Home ownership made easy in Hambleton

Snap up a new home near Selby for less with help from Redrow.
The award-winning housebuilder’s ‘easi:buy’ scheme means purchasers can put off paying thousands of pounds on selected properties at Mulberry Grange in Hambleton.
But with new homes at the development selling fast, those who want to take advantage of the valuable incentive should act now to avoid disappointment.
“Mulberry Grange has been a great success and we’re now nearing the end of this popular venture,” Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented.
“There may be some people who’ve been saving a deposit for a new home who are now worried about missing out but, with ‘easi:buy’, they could find that they are able to buy their dream home sooner than they expected.
“With ‘easi:buy’ customers can defer paying up to 20% of the initial purchase price, reducing the amount they have to pay up front. It could mean they only need a deposit of around £6,000 to buy a two-bedroom home.”
Another advantage for ‘easi:buy’ customers is that because they only need a mortgage for a maximum of 80% of the property’s value they should have access to some of the better mortgage interest rates; usually reserved for those with large deposits or substantial equity in an existing home.
With ‘easi:buy’, a two-bedroom ‘Evesham’ style property on the market at £145,999 could be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £116,799.
Subject to terms and conditions, buyers can defer paying the remaining 20% for up to 10 years or until they have more funds available.
The incentive is also available on three-bedroom ‘Broadway’ designs, available from £164,999 on the open market, which reduces to just £131,999 with the deferred payment.
“The ‘Evesham’ and ‘Broadway’ house types make ideal starter homes and the savings of ‘easi:buy’ make them an affordable alternative to renting or buying an older property in need of lots of modernisation. For example when you buy a second hand home you may need to buy a new cooker and arrange for it to be installed, whereas the kitchens in our homes come with integrated top brand name appliances covered by two-year manufacturers’ warranties,” Patsy explained.
Mulberry Grange also includes four-bedroom ‘Canterbury’ style homes, on the market at £284,999. Those with a property to sell may find that Redrow is willing to take it off their hands as part-payment for a bigger, better, brand new home.
Just a short journey from Selby town centre, Mulberry Grange enjoys a picturesque village setting. Strong commuter links by road and rail mean that the cities of Leeds and York are easily accessible.
