Award-winning Millgate Homes is renowned throughout the Home Counties, its name synonymous with elegance and excellence, so it’s little surprise that visitors flocked to the recent launch of the new Show Home at Wargrave Park.

So impressive was the stunning five bedroom detached property, with its exemplary specification, that it was reserved within a matter of hours of its doors opening to the public.

Tucked away in a leafy spot in the desirable Thames-side village of Wargrave, this collection of six 5 bedroom homes has been causing something of a stir. With four of the properties already purchased, house hunters have been captivated by the homes’ spacious open-plan living spaces, offering a modern twist on a traditional design but still retaining the formal drawing room. However, with only two of the properties remaining the opportunity to own one of these stylish homes is growing increasingly rare.

Mandie Whelan, Sales Manager for Millgate Homes, comments: “The swift sale of the Show Home has only validated what we already knew; that these abodes at Wargrave Park offer house hunters in the area a rare opportunity to buy a home of substance that befits this desirable location.

“Many visitors have commented on our landscaped gardens, which offer beautifully manicured lawns and foliage expertly selected by our Chelsea award-winning designer. Internally, the specification has been designed to meet the exacting standards of our discerning clientele; from the Falcon dual-fuel range cookers to the Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware that graces bathrooms and en suites.

“Although the Show Home has been sold, you can still pay us a visit to gain a first-hand look at these magnificent properties and get a feel for the lifestyle a home at Wargrave Park could afford.”

Upon entering the Show Home, you are immediately greeted by a sense of space; the light-flooded hallway offers access to ground floor accommodation that includes a huge open-plan area that incorporates the kitchen, dining room and orangery family room to make a space that’s ideal for entertaining and spending time as a family. Thanks to two sets of French doors, one from the family room and the other from the dining area, during the summer months this space will really ‘bring the outside in’ – perfect for parties and barbeques. A separate utility room, 20’6” formal drawing room, study and cloakroom complete the ground floor accommodation.

To the first floor are the five generously proportioned bedrooms, three of which have en suite facilities and two which share the elegant main bathroom. The specification is just as impressive as the space offered by this home; the kitchen features bespoke, painted floor and wall cabinets which are complemented by stone work surfaces and upstands, alongside a comprehensive range of appliances that include a Falcon dual-fuel range, an American style fridge/freezer in stainless steel, a wine chiller, integrated microwave and dishwasher.

The bathroom, en suites and cloakroom are just as opulent with sanitary ware by Villeroy & Boch, contemporary Vado chrome furnishings and bespoke vanity units with stone tops.

The village location of Wargrave, meanwhile, couldn’t be more attractive. It combines village charm with excellent links to nearby Henley-on-Thames, with its eclectic range of shops and eateries, as well as cosmopolitan Reading – meaning there’s entertainment and amenities in reach for all members of the family. The daily commute is also less daunting than that presented by many villages; central Reading is within striking distance as is the A329(M), providing access to the national motorway network via the M4. Wargrave station, meanwhile, offers regular services to London Paddington in as little as 38 minutes*.

Prices at Wargrave Park start at £1.475 million. The new Show Home is available to view daily from 10am – 4pm.
