Record breaking Citroen sale at BCA

12th June 2008 Print
Citroen UK achieved a record result in a special Live Online Super Sale at BCA Measham on 5th June.

In the biggest sale ever staged by Citroen and BCA in partnership, the manufacturer offered and sold 339 vehicles for a 100% sell out success. The sale generated a turnover of £2.2 million, equivalent to 99% of CAP Clean across the board.

The sale was open to all buyers, with Citroen Approved dealers also able to bid via BCA’s Live Online service. A total of 38 vehicles were sold online.

There were strong performances across the Citroen range. Citroen C1 averaged 109% of CAP Clean, with C2 averaging 107% and C3 averaging 104%. Two examples of the new C4 Picasso were sold for an average 103% of CAP Clean, while old-shape Picasso continued to sell strongly, averaging just under CAP Clean figures.

Michael Brown Head of Remarketing for Citroen UK commented “This was an extraordinary record-breaking result in the current tough market conditions. To sell nearly 350 cars and commercial vehicles in one sale would be significant in the best of times, but to do so when the used market has been under pressure is exceptional and reflects the quality and desirability of the Citroen range. Live Online is a critical dimension to achieving this result and enables our Approved dealers the opportunity to bid for very popular ready to retail product direct from their showrooms. In partnership with BCA we have established a high benchmark for future sales.”
