As the Lonely Plant claims Surrey is ‘dull and uninspiring’, the South East’s biggest building, renovating and home improvement event, the Homebuilding & Renovating Show, Surrey is returning to Sandown Park, Esher, from 25-26 June to prove that Surrey’s inhabitants are among some of the most creative and innovative self builders in the country.

Experts from Homebuilding & Renovating magazine will be there to educate and inspire as well as to provide invaluable experience and advice on how to build.

“Some of the most exciting homebuilding projects are found in Surrey and inhabitants are keen to take up the challenge,” says Michael Holmes, spokesperson for The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show and editor-in-chief of Homebuilding & Renovating magazine. “Demand for information is at an all time high and interest in June’s show far exceeds last year. People are realising that it is cheaper to self-build and you can design their home to suit their lifestyle.”

With over 140 companies and 1000s of products, this year’s show is even bigger and more interactive. Take your queries to the ‘Ask the Experts’ stand for professional advice. Take this opportunity to bring your drawings along for a one to one consultation where you will receive useful tips to enhance your project.

The new ‘Tricks of the Trade’ live demonstrations will take you through a series of top tips which will save you money, along with a whole host of new and innovative design ideas and practical workshops is proving extremely popular,” he adds.

It is also a chance for visitors to meet over 140 of the UK’s leading self-build and renovation companies see thousands of new products and services and attend one of the eight daily free seminars or 24 specialist master classes. Each class offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy advice from the country’s leading experts covering topics such as sustainable technology and project management.
