Citroen lines up an unmissable display for Paris Motor Show

GTbyCITROEN concept Headlined by the sensational new GTbyCITROEN and Hypnos concept cars, Citroen is displaying no less that 34 vehicles including the new C4, alongside eight concept or show cars.

GTbyCITROEN
Citroen will unveil the GTbyCITROEN, a unique concept modelled on a virtual racer purpose-developed by Citroen and Polyphony to feature in the multi-million selling computer game series, Gran Turismo. Citroen is the first manufacturer to design a car specifically for the virtual environment, and then bring it to life.

C4 WRC HYmotion4
This special Citroen rally car merges the C4’s multi-championship winning WRC technology with a Hybrid electric motor that can be engaged between competitive timed stages to eliminate emissions. The C4 WRC HYmotion4 brings together Citroen’s success in both environmental matters as well as motorsport.

C3 Picasso Concepts
Alongside the new C3 Picasso model, Citroen will display two concepts based on its latest addition to its MPV family. One is decorated in metallic white and orange body colours with orange tinted glass, whilst the other features a black body with plush chrome touches throughout.

Hypnos
Citroen is showcasing a totally new direction in high-end, luxury green vehicles with the Hypnos concept. The bold and original design of the SUV/Coupe crossover concept houses Citroen’s latest generation 4 wheel drive hybrid-diesel technology.

C3 Picasso
With its intrepid personality, spacious interior, intuitive layout, and nimble road manners, the recently revealed C3 Picasso is making its world show debut. The innovative and original MPV offers class-leading space and intelligent storage solutions in a compact ‘magic box’ style philosophy. Due to go on sale in the UK mid-2009.

C3 Pluriel Charleston
The recently revealed, special-edition C3 Pluriel Charleston will make an appearance with the famous red and black colour scheme that once decorated Citroen’s legendary 2CV. The stylistic nod to its historic relative features premium touches throughout such as leather upholstery, gloss black fittings and chrome trim.

C4 HYmotion2
Citroen’s C4 HDi models are already some of the most fuel efficient and lowest emitting vehicles in their class. The C4 HYmotion2 hybrid concept demonstrates the Company’s continuing advances in environmental technology for family vehicles by reducing CO2 emissions to just 90g/km and delivering impressive economy of up to 83mpg.

C-Cactus
The radical C-Cactus will complete Citroen’s eco-concept line up. Having debuted at Frankfurt last year, the C-Cactus embodies an essentialist vision for the car of the future with near 100mpg fuel economy, advanced Hybrid technology and ultra-low 78g/km CO2 emissions.

2CV ‘Hermes’
To mark its 60th birthday during the Motorshow (on October 7th), Citroen will display an iconic 2CV special from 1989 in a special ‘Hermes’ edition. The couture-styling of the Citroen model painted in brown, is dressed in leather upholstery and trim, Hermes grey/beige cloth and leather seats and Hermes cloth-lined roof.

Berlingo Multispace and Nemo Combi
Making their show debut are both the new Berlingo Multispace – now featuring a third row of seats, taking its people carrying capacity up to seven, alongside the new Nemo Combi – the passenger car version of the award winning Nemo van.

New Technology
Citroen will display some of its latest driving technology including Snow Motion, an advanced traction control system for low-friction road surfaces which is set to debut across the new C5, C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso ranges. The newest version of Citroen’s NaviDrive system will showcase updated features such as DVD video player, Bluetooth connectivity and new 3D mapping interface, whilst information on the latest generation of Citroen’s Stop & Start technology, which features regenerative braking, will also be presented.
