Camille Walala was established in 2009 out of the desire to design bold and optimistic print for textiles and interiors products that truly stand out from the crowd.

The simple desire to put a smile on people's faces alongside the energy and heartfelt positive messages in Camille's work has set her apart from her contemporaries - tapping into the optimism zeitgeist amongst London's design underground.

Camille's keen sense of colour and smart colour couplings are being showcased and snapped up by the meter and through her own range of cushions that are both vibrant and energetic bringing warmth and happiness into any environment they inhabit. Her pop propaganda including messages in bold text of "perseverance", "long life in the sunshine" and "time to believe" shout from a myriad of products in high octane colour and sing positively of her influences including the Memphis movement, pop art and Mondrian.

Recent work has seen her progressing from her popular textile based range to include digitally printed ceramics and storage units and most recently collaborations with furniture designers. This new body of work reflects the same optimism of her early designs and also demonstrates Camille's versatility as a designer and collaborator.

Camille's multidisciplinary talents have recently taken her to Geneva where she was involved in the concept, design and set-up of the gallery space in cafe Ou bien - this constantly evolving gallery space showcasing only Walala 's work has kick-started the space to great success.

And for Walala... Hip hip hourra! Hip hip hourra!
