Citroen helps Arsenal get creative for the Teenage Cancer Trust

Citroen Citroen, Arsenal Football Club’s official car supplier, has donated a stylish new C4 to the club for a unique project with famous artist, Gerald Scarfe CBE, to raise awareness and funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Scarfe, whose illustrative history includes the visuals for Pink Floyd’s The Wall, teamed up with players Gael Clichy, Manuel Almunia and Robin van Persie at Arsenal’s training ground on Monday 5th January to suggest some preliminary thoughts on the design for the Arsenal-inspired Citroen C4.

Scarfe will be working on the design over the next month, then the unique creation will be transferred onto the Citroen C4 and unveiled in February. The car will then be exhibited at various locations, including Emirates Stadium, and raffle tickets will be available to purchase in person or through the partnership’s dedicated website: www.beagoonerbeagiver.org from March 2009 for just £2 each.

Xavier Duchemin, Managing Director at Citroen UK commented: “Citroen is excited to be working with both Arsenal and Gerald Scarfe on this fantastic project, and delighted to be helping to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause as Teenage Cancer Trust.”
