Holiday Goddess editor and singer/songwriter, Victoria Aitken not only loves Monaco, she also has some royal connections of her own.

Her top give UK single ‘Queen of the House’ was on the playlist at the wedding reception for Prince William and Kate Middleton and it is now sitting at No. 5 in the UK’s club charts and outselling Britney Spears.

Ahead of the July 1 wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco to Charlene Wittstock, travel website Holiday Goddess has some great travel tips fit for a queen.

“Monaco is a beautiful city,” Victoria says. “My mother lives there and it also happens to be the perfect escape whether for a weekend or a little longer,” says Victoria. “These are my top ten tips.”

1. Take the helicopter to Monaco from Nice airport – it’s cheaper than a taxi (yes it’s true!)

2. After a day at the beach grab some ice-cream at Haagen Dazs (next to the casino) and stroll around – the sexiest and flashiest cars in Monaco are usually parked outside.

3. For some pampering go to the Hermes - they offer amazing spa treatments.

4. There's a small beach between Monaco Carlo Bay Hotel and the beach club, which is perfect for a summer dip doesn’t charge for sun –lounges either!

5. Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel also offers the most amazing yoga classes.

6. Go to Jimmy’z for clubbing.

7. Walk along the port at night and look at the beautiful yachts – it’s so romantic.

8. See what talks are on offer at the Yacht Club de Monaco. I once heard Alvaro Maricharlar talking about his experience jet skiing around the world there. Afterwards, order a beer at Stars N' Bars next door.

9. Window-shopping in Monaco can be a fun experience even if you can't afford anything... there are hundreds of boutiques lining the streets.

10. For supermarket shopping go to France in the hills above or to Italy - a 10-minute drive across the boarder – it’s half the price of Monaco.
