John Surtees drives all-electric C1 ev'ie to meet the Mayor

The Electric Car Corporation’s all-electric Citroën conversion, the C1 ev’ie, is to take part in the 2009 Brighton-London Eco-rally. The event, which is being held on Monday 8th June, will see a parade of environmentally conscious vehicles take to the streets with the finishing line at London’s City Hall. Mayor Boris Johnson, a supporter of electric vehicles, will welcome the participating models.

The C1 ev’ie will be driven by legendary racing driver John Surtees, who is the only person to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels and will be accompanied by David Martell, Chief Executive of the Electric Car Corporation.

Organised by Revolve¹, the rally forms part of love London’s² ‘The Green Festival’ and event partners include the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and What Car? magazine. The second annual What Car? Green Awards will also be taking place on the afternoon of the rally in the City Hall.
