Final homes at urban village development in Bristol

2nd June 2011 Print
Just eight contemporary homes remain for sale at Tallsticks

There are just eight contemporary houses for sale at Tallsticks, the first phase of Redrow’s urban village development of Cheswick, north of Bristol.

Built to the high specification and just a few miles from the city centre, the environmentally friendly homes have proved popular with professionals, families and downsizers.

Being close to Parkway train station, the MoD’s Abbey Wood site and the University of the West of England has undoubtedly added to the development’s appeal and the easy access to the M4 and M5 motorways makes the location an attractive prospect for commuters.

The mix of homes remaining includes two-bedroom houses, which are perfect for first time buyers or those looking for an investment property.

For those in the market for a larger home, Redrow’s three-storey townhouses are ideal. Many have convivial open-plan kitchen and dining rooms and separate lounges with patio doors opening up on to the back garden. There are also the added conveniences of downstairs cloakrooms and laundry rooms, garages and additional parking for many three-bedroom homes.

Finished properties are open to view so potential purchasers can get a feel for the spacious layouts and homes are ready to move into at the end of June.

Nikki Boulton, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “With just eight homes remaining on this phase of Cheswick, home buyers should act fast if they want to secure one of these stylish and contemporary properties. We’ve still got a good mix of two and three beds to suit a range of buyers.”

All the homes are being built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, which means they include special features designed to keep water and energy usage to a minimum; this will hopefully translate into lower bills for home owners. Being brand new they are also easy to maintain and require none of the costly renovation that may come with an older second hand property. Contemporary kitchens with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances are included, as well as modern bathrooms with sleek white bathroom suites and quality fixtures and fittings..

Another bonus of buying brand new is the tailored incentives Redrow can offer to help make moving a more achievable option.

Tallsticks is one of the individual ‘hamlets’ that make up the new urban village of Cheswick, north of Bristol. Others include The Bowery and Aurora Spring, which feature more traditional looking, mostly detached homes, whilst Tallsticks caters for those wanting something more modern in its approach but still built to the same high quality standards.

Prices are from £184,995 to £222,995. Redrow can offer carpets and turfed gardens with selected properties.
