Summer treatments at Lefay Resort & Spa, Lake Garda

2nd June 2011 Print

Lefay Resort & Spa has launched a new range of treatments this summer, designed to immerse guests in the natural products that thrive in the micro climate of Lake Garda.

‘Perfumes of Garda’ is a new wellness package of five different treatments all using the best ingredients sourced around Lake Garda.   Guests experience a body scrub using local olive oil, lemon essence and olive stone granules and a Lefay ‘Drops of the Lake’ massage using olive oil enriched with lemon and lavender to nourish the skin and leave it radiant and soft.  In addition they experience a Lefay aromatic mud pack, a Lefay spa mask using locally grown medicated plants and a Garda essences bath in the Folorida tub, which is a special whirlpool that massages the entire body from the feet up to the back.  It is a very relaxing Idrotherapy enriched with perfumed natural essence and cromotherapy (healing by colour).  The Perfumes of Garda package of treatments costs 270 Euros.

The resort has also introduced a new massage developed by associating the principles of classical Chinese medicine with western techniques.  The ‘Massage of the Emperor’ is an all over treatment aimed at relaxing and revitalising by following the body’s flow of energy. The massage begins on the legs and continues over the body using circular movements and pressure on energy points to dissolve tensions and deliver a deep feeling of relaxation. The massage costs 150 Euros for one hour 20 minutes.

The resort offers over 20 massages inspired by traditional techniques from both the West and East.  Each massage is designed to tackle a specific area of concern including the ‘Alchemic Breath’ massage to combat cellulite by mobilising and eliminating fluid build up, the ‘Breeze Along the Border’ massage focusing on different muscular areas, relaxing hypertonic muscles and toning muscles that are too relaxed and the ‘Flight of the Butterfly’, a four handed massage aimed at relaxing and restoring energy.

Lefay Resort & Spa has developed its own spa method and range of innovative wellness programmes to help restore guests’ psychophysical well-being and help them to overcome obstacles such as stress and premature ageing.

Guests have the option of complementing their spa programme with a detoxifying reduced-calorie menu “Lightness of being”, which offers food that is low in calories but has all the local natural flavours of a Mediterranean cuisine.

Lefay Resort & Spa is set in 11 acres of woodland and olive groves in the Alto Garda National Park overlooking Lake Garda. There are five different types of sauna;  three private couples spas;  a salt water lake for floatation therapies; a state-of-the-art gym and outdoor and indoor swimming pools
