Menzies Welcombe Hotel completes first phase of refurbishment

The Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club is delighted to announce that it has completed the first phase of the hotel’s major refurbishment programme. The programme, which will see public areas such as the Bar, Restaurant and Function Rooms re-styled and upgraded, is part of the hotel’s plans to improve facilities over the next 18 months.
34 rooms in the Garden Wing, located between the ground and first floor, have now been redecorated and refurbished in a contemporary style. Each room features a stylish new Apple Mac - a flat screen TV with Sky Channels, internet connection and Skype. The rooms also have free Wi-Fi, individual room controlled air-conditioning and state of the art power showers.
In addition, the Par 70, 18 hole championship Golf Course now features new buggy pathways from the 11th tee through to the 12th green. The new pathways will ensure that the buggies can be used all year round for the enjoyment and convenience of players.
Greg Fehler, General Manager of The Menzies Welcombe Hotel, stated “We’re delighted that the first phase of our refurbishment programme has been completed. The rooms in the Garden Wing are tastefully redecorated with additional facilities to meet the needs of both residential and business guests. We look forward to getting the second phase of the programme underway”.
