New homes are about to go on sale at an historic site in Worcester.

And residents of the brand new Redrow homes to be built at Earl’s Park will be following in the footsteps of their medieval ancestors.

Although the Earl’s Court Farm site was most recently used as arable land, a medieval hamlet was discovered by archaeologists in 2006. More recently excavations commissioned by Redrow Homes revealed two small medieval buildings, thought to be the homes of 12th century agricultural workers.

Fast forward nine centuries and Redrow is getting ready to launch the first phase of 21st century homes at Earl’s Park in July.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “We’re delighted to be bringing housing back to a part of Worcester that centuries ago was home to farm workers. The development will offer a wide selection of family friendly properties with three to six bedrooms and will be a welcome boost to the local housing market, increasing the choice for home buyers in the area.”

Mature oak trees will be retained as part of the development, which, despite being just two miles from the centre of Worcester, enjoys a semi-rural location and is bounded to the west by open countryside.

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, the homes at Earl’s Park will look traditional from the outside, but will be bright and modern inside.

To showcase the designs, Redrow will be opening the doors to two four-bedroom show homes.

The examples of the ‘Cambridge’ and ‘Oxford’ house types will enable potential purchasers to appreciate the layout of the properties and experience the quality finish of the designs.

Those who can’t wait for the launch of Earl’s Park can already take a virtual tour of homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection thanks to the house builder’s broadband television channel Redrow.TV.

“At Redrow we take pride in building quality homes that people really want to live in. By logging on to Redrow.TV homebuyers can take a sneak peak at show homes from across the country and get a real insight into what the properties at Earl’s Park will look like from the comfort of their home, office or wherever they access the internet,” Pauline explained.

Dedicated to all things Redrow, Redrow.TV includes development films, buying guides and footage of real customers talking about their new homes.

Earl’s Park boasts strong transport links and easy access to the M5 and M42 motorways. And with Dines Green School nearby it’s the ideal place to put down roots and raise a family.
