Cobra Springs Mazda 323 suspension upgrades

Leading Dutch suspension manufacturer Cobra has released details of its extensive range of uprated and lowered springs for Mazda’s capable range of 323 Hatches and saloons. The various Cobra kits cover all variants and versions from 94 onwards, including the 323 F and the capable V6 and 4WD models.

A volume seller in its day, the 323’s crisp styling and dependable mechanicals ensured that many remain in enthusiast’s hands today. Although the 323 is an extremely able machine in standard trim, the new Cobra Suspension upgrade endows it with a new level of composure and ability altogether.

Optimised to work perfectly with any sound OEM damper set-up, the Cobra kit lowers the car by approximately 30mm, endowing the Mazda with a superb stance, accentuating its lines and dramatically improving turn-in and driver feedback.

Handling is dramatically improved thanks to the lower centre of gravity, and thanks to a careful choice of spring rate, ride quality is hardly affected. In addition, the Cobra springs are pre-fatigued and heat-treated, before being powder-coated to protect them against the elements. This attention to detail is backed by Cobra’s class leading 5 year warranty and of course, full TUV approval.
