Get your hands on Roger Federer’s shirt

With the start of Wimbledon fast approaching, Sportsworld has announced that guests enjoying hospitality at its official Fairway Village facility this summer will get the chance to take home Roger Federer’s shirt, signed by the 16-times Grand Slam champion himself, presented in an exclusive glass presentation box.
Guests attending Sportsworld’s Fairway Village during 2011’s Wimbledon fortnight will get the chance to bid for the very special item in a charity auction, whilst enjoying their champagne and Pimm’s reception, à la carte lunch and afternoon tea.
“We’re delighted to have such an outstanding piece of memorabilia up for grabs in The Fairway Village this year and we hope the 3000 guests that we entertain during Wimbledon fortnight will embrace the opportunity to take Roger’s signed shirt home for such a great cause. It’s certainly quite a piece of sporting history to have on your wall at home and to talk about!” said Chad Lion-Cachet, Chief Executive of Sportsworld.
The auction, in-aid of ACE Africa, is a charity close to Springbok Lion-Cachet’s heart, “ACE Africa supports communities affected by HIV and AIDS in rural areas of Africa. Every penny they raise goes towards the care of orphans, vulnerable children and their families through sustainable and cost effective living solutions. If our hospitality guests can help in any way they can, it will make a huge difference to the families and children in Africa affected”.
Sportsworld is a corporate partner of ACE Africa and supports the vital work they carry out across the diverse continent.
Bids will be taken in The Fairway Village throughout Wimbledon fortnight, with the highest bidder drawn on Men’s Final day – Sunday 3rd July. The only question that remains…will Roger Federer still be in the Tournament then? We hope so.
To make a charitable donation to ACE Africa in the meantime, text AIDS00 and then the donation amount to 70070 i.e. AIDS00£5.
