A recent survey has ranked the Cornish towns of Newquay and Padstow in the top 10 beach destinations in the UK*, and latest figures from Halifax reveal that property prices in seaside towns have soared by 128% since 2001**.

House hunters in the region who are feeling the strain of these coastal price hikes, however, are set to be made very happy, with the news that Annington has launched its latest range of spacious, yet realistically priced detached houses and bungalows; offering much larger than average gardens, and conveniently nestled between the two prime spots, at the popular St Eval development.

Standing out from other properties in the same price bracket in Cornwall, the three and four bedroom houses and two bedroom bungalows are all detached and offer a great deal of space. Located just six miles from the picturesque fishing port of Padstow, nine miles from the bustling hub of Newquay and with the famous Bedruthan Steps at nearby Mawgan Porth, these homes are well-situated to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer.

As former officers’ houses, the three and four bedroom properties offer local families plenty of room to grow in to, with exceptionally spacious private gardens, whilst the two bedroom bungalows are larger than many others on the market, making them ideal for families or as retirement homes. Boasting new carpets, vinyl flooring, and decorated in pleasant neutral hues for residents to personalise and make their own, each of these homes are ready to move in to immediately.

Angela Walsh, Head of Sales & Marketing at Annington, commented: “Most local wages don’t accommodate the sharp increases in property prices in the area, so the realistic prices of the latest homes at St Eval create a brilliant opportunity for local house hunters to make their next move. Whether you’re a young family wanting a place to grow in to, or a more mature person looking for a retirement property, these homes have something for everyone. Providing a lot of space in a well-connected location, these properties offer the perfect base from which to enjoy the laidback attitudes and beautiful surroundings of Cornish life. The St Eval development has already been extremely popular, and we expect this latest release to follow suit; potential buyers should arrange early viewings to avoid disappointment.”

Prices start at £210,000 for a two bedroom detached bungalow, £235,000 for a three bedroom detached house and £275,000 for a four bedroom detached house. For further information visit: annington.co.uk
