Cake That Manchester is owned by Ruth Coleman who is a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild, Ruth who has for many years made cakes as a hobby has decided to turn professional after increased demand from friends and colleagues. Ruth feels that the website is key to this development; she said “The growth in online sales is overwhelming so it was very important to find the right website to showcase our cakes”.

Although the website is important to the company’s success they are looking at ambitious expansion plans in the coming year. They plan to showcase their work at local Wedding fairs and are even looking at a retail studio in Manchester to allow their customers to experience their work first hand.

Many of their customers have commented on the unique service that Cake That Manchester offers. Mrs E Thurston said “Unlike most shop bought cakes ordering with Ruth allowed the cake to be unique and personal. The cake was styled to represent my husband’s garden. The detailing was exquisite; it was a shame to cut into it but it didn’t last long once we did, because the sponge was delicious”
