Win tickets to London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Scottish Widows, the Official Pensions and Investment Provider of the London 2012 Games, has announced a new competition to become part of the historic event. The iconic brand is launching an online and interactive competition to win one of 12 prizes to attend either the Olympic or Paralympic Opening Ceremonies.

To generate interest and direct engagement around the competition and its London 2012 Games partnership, Scottish Widows has launched a dedicated social media programme through its new Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

The new Facebook page will act as a hub for both the competition and Scottish Widows' London 2012 Games related activity, and will include information on the Golden Hopefuls (the four talented young athletes Scottish Widows sponsors) on their journey to London 2012, and messages from Sarah Storey, OBE (who is hoping to compete in both the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games), and Roger Black, MBE (both of whom are Scottish Widows Ambassadors for the London 2012 Games). The Twitter presence will also keep Scottish Widows' followers up to date on the competition.

Stuart Green, Head of Brand Management at Scottish Widows, said: "We are excited to offer our customers the chance to win this once in a lifetime opportunity to attend either the London 2012 Olympic or Paralympic Games Opening Ceremonies.

"It was a natural step to create dedicated Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages so people can share in the excitement of entering the competition, and supporting Sarah Storey and the Golden Hopefuls as they work towards achieving their Olympic and Paralympic dreams."

To win tickets people should visit the Scottish Widows competition homepage (scottishwidows.co.uk/tickets). They will be asked to enter basic personal details and play a simple Olympic themed game to be entered into the competition. Winners will be chosen at random after the closing date (16th October).

Prizes include two tickets to the London 2012 Olympic or Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony, hotel accommodation plus hospitality all day. The winners will be hosted by Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games medal winner Roger Black, MBE.
