Tiny microspacers, with a 0.5mm diameter, are set 20mm apart throughout the unit and it is this grid that ensures the glass panes are kept at a fixed distance apart. Similar to a vacuum flask, the result is excellent thermal performance offering four times more thermal insulation than single glazing.
