Eager holidaymakers from Edinburgh who are already planning next year’s getaways can get ahead and book early, thanks to Jet2.com.

The leading leisure airline with friendly low fares has today put summer 2012 flights on sale from Edinburgh Airport to the sensational city and beach destinations of Dubrovnik in Croatia from £39.99, Budapest in Hungary from £29.99 and spectacular Venice from just £34.99 (all prices one way including taxes). Flights to Budapest and Venice will depart three times a week and flights to Dubrovnik will be weekly.

Sister company Jet2holidays has also launched many of its great value package breaks for next year with holidays in Dubrovnik, Croatia starting from just £359 per person for seven nights in a 3 star hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, including resort transfers and a 22kg baggage allowance. What’s more, savvy holidaymakers can save an additional £100 on their well earned break if they book before 4th July 2011.

For those looking for some ski or snowboarding action, flights to Chambery and Salzburg for the 2011/2012 winter season are also now on sale, with prices starting from £29.99 and £39.99 respectively, one way including taxes.

Ian Doubtfire, managing director at Jet2.com, commented:   “We are delighted to announce that these popular routes are now on sale for summer 2012.  People are starting to think about next year’s holidays – whether it’s to escape the hype surrounding Euro 2012 or wanting to take advantage of the extra bank holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.   We are giving people the chance to plan ahead and get the best prices on the widest choice of flights and accommodation.”

Neil Anderson, commercial director at Edinburgh Airport, said: “We’re delighted to see these flights go on sale.  It’s a mark of the strength of the partnership between Jet2.com and Edinburgh Airport that flights to these exciting destinations are on sale for Summer 2012.  Working closely with our airline partners was core to us being recently named Europe’s best airport and it is together that we’ll maintain that strong position.”
