Hartshorne hatches cracking order with leading egg supplier

Midlands-based truck dealer Hartshorne has clinched an order to supply eight Volvo FH 4x2 tractor units to Shropshire-based Oaklands Farm Eggs Ltd. - one of Europe’s leading egg producers.
 
The vehicles join Oaklands’ fleet, of which all, but three are Volvos supplied by Hartshorne, and will be used to deliver eggs from the Oaklands sites in Shropshire to customers nationwide, including major supermarket chains.
 
The new vehicles have 460hp Euro-5 engines and are fitted with Volvo’s fully automated l-shift gearbox with long haul, fuel and economy software. The units have the latest Globetrotter XL cabs with single-bed living facilities and have been supplied by Hartshorne’s Shrewsbury depot.
