Lagan Homes kicks-off in Shefford

A former football ground in the Bedfordshire market town of Shefford is back in play as a development of 59 new homes.

The soccer ground was sold for residential use in 2008 after the original Shefford Town football team hung up their boots. The football club has since reformed and currently plays at STMA (Digswell) in Shefford, but there are plans for a new stadium on an 11-acre site in Hitchin Road.

Their old Ivel Road ground of 3.66 acres was subsequently acquired by Irish-owned housebuilder Lagan Homes, who have unveiled a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Initial prices are from £170,000 for a two-bedroom ‘Clare’ style property to £440,000 for a four-bedroom ‘Waterford’.
