etyres, the UK's leading online mobile tyre fitting company, has crowned a year of increased sales and profits with a prestigious franchise award.

The online company received the 2011 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year bronze accolade in recognition of its achievements as one of the UK's most entrepreneurial and ethical franchises.

Tony Bowman, managing director of etyres, which delivers a winning formula of cheap tyres and a convenient mobile fitting service, was delighted to receive the award.

He said: "Building an innovative, efficient and sustainable business has helped us to attract and retain some fantastic franchise owners, which has been the key to our growing success as a Franchisor.

“Customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do and we have a branch network of Franchise Owners who consistently deliver great customer service.

“Receiving this award is wonderful recognition of this, as well as a fantastic morale boost for our whole team.”

etyres success is built on the back of cheap prices for tyres, a convenient nationwide mobile fitting service and a user-friendly website featuring Eamonn Holmes and Vicki Butler Henderson.

The judges, including the president of the bfa Sir Bernard Ingham, were looking to reward franchisors that strive for excellence and set the example for others to follow, from development in new systems to franchise support and from enterprising initiatives to outstanding ethical management.

Brian Smart, director general of the bfa, said: “Our judging panel were presented with some of the best examples of innovation, brand development and franchisee support that they have ever seen and it has been a privilege to recognise these truly outstanding franchisors.  Each of our winners is a credit to the sector.”
