Redrow wins top marketing awards

A campaign featuring staff and customers of Redrow Homes has taken one of the top awards at the prestigious The Marketing Society Northern Awards.

The developer’s ‘Our Pride ~ Your Joy’, campaign was recognised for its creative and innovative work in the Property & Construction category of the annual awards, which are organised by The Marketing Society in partnership with How-Do.

The awards celebrate the creativity and achievement across the marketing industry in the North, and bring together companies from across the region to show best practice and acknowledge current and future success.

Kim Peters, Redrow’s group sales and marketing director, said: “We’re delighted with this accolade. The ‘Our Pride ~ Your Joy’ campaign focuses very strongly on the people behind our new homes and features staff who work for Redrow and some of the customers who have bought our homes. They have become our brand ambassadors.

“A TV commercial and other creative work have captured the quality and craftsmanship that goes into our New Heritage Collection so that people can experience the joy of living in a Redrow home. Post-campaign research shows that it has improved brand awareness and consumer understanding of our brand values, which was recognised by the award judges.”

Redrow’s win was announced at a ceremony held at the Lancashire County Cricket Club’s stunning new conference facility, The Point.

Gemma Greaves, Director of The Marketing Society, commented: “The event was a fantastic success and a brilliant way to congratulate and celebrate the best in the class for their passion and commitment to the marketing profession over the past year.

“To have such high calibre organisations entering in the second year is a testament to the talent and creativity within the North. . With more than 100 entries submitted, it is clear that the awards are going from strength. We look forward to repeating the awards next year, building the marketing community in the North and setting new entry records again.”

Entries were rigorously judged by a select panel of industry experts and leading marketers, including: Diana Tickell (UK director of communications, Barnados), Paul Berney (CMO and managing director Europe, Mobile Marketing Association), Julia Porter (group marketing director, ITV), Dominic Grounsell (marketing director, Capital One), and Hugh Burkitt (chief executive, The Marketing Society).

Redrow’s ‘Our Pride ~ Your Joy’ campaign, now in its second phase, has included a TV commercial, advertisements in national and regional press, advertising on radio and online property portals, as well as email marketing and 48-sheet posters. It has produced huge spikes in visitors to Redrow’s website and also a massive increase in those viewing the company’s own broadband television channel, Redrow.TV, where the ‘Our Pride ~ Your Joy’ TV commercial can be viewed.

Creative work for ‘Our Pride ~ Your Joy’ was a collaboration between Redrow’s in-house marketing department, based at St David’s Park, Flintshire, and digital interactive marketing agency, Ainsworth & Parkinson. Development of the campaign is ongoing.
