Plumbing masterclass for beginners
London's most prestigious plumbing company Staunch & Flow is launching plumbing courses for absolute beginners this Autumn. From fixing a dripping tap to connecting a dishwasher, this masterclass is for everyone who has always wanted to know how to perform simple plumbing jobs without the hefty plumber's call out fee.
The 4 hour course is designed to provide the confidence and skill to deal with simple everyday plumbing jobs. "People like feeling in control and I felt that if we could empower them to change a tap washer or disconnect and reconnect a washing machine then it would be a really valuable tool," says Managing Director Sam Kershaw, who saw a niche in the market, especially for women customers who wanted to be able to deal with simple plumbing jobs themselves.
"Essentially a call out fee for a simple two minute job does not make for happy customers, and cross customers make for cross plumbers!" Says Kershaw who identified a female customer demand for basic plumbing knowledge after two harsh winters which saw UK plumber 'call outs' rocket to their highest level for years.
"Even the simplest techniques can prevent a potentially damaging flood or leak in the home" explains Kershaw who also provides a guide to what he calls 'plumber lingo' so that participants learn how not to get caught out by rogue plumbers.
Kershaw set up Staunch & Flow five years ago after a colourful career as an architecture student, champion skier and professional polo player. Determined to make Staunch & Flow the best and most sought after plumbers in London, he is also committed to environmentally friendly plumbing and installs solar panels, heat pumps and wood chip boilers as well as offering a full domestic plumbing service, plus AGA and Rayburn servicing within London and the M25.
Plumbing courses run on Wednesdays from 4pm - 7pm at 211 Piccadilly W1, London (50 yards from Piccadilly Circus) and cost £60. To book call 0208 964 6728 or email info@staunchandflow.co.uk
