As part of outdoor education, Year 6 schoolchildren from St Joseph’s RC Primary School have been on an educational residential trip to the Lake District. This is a yearly activity greatly enhanced by generous support from Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire.

The national housebuilder helped fund a three day residential trip to the Lake District for Year Six pupils (aged 10 and 11 years old). The children took part in a range of activities that were designed to help them grow physically, spiritually and educationally in a picturesque setting.

Over 30 pupils were able to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including canoeing, rock climbing and learning how to tie different knots with rope.

Teacher at Joseph’s RC Primary School, Mrs O’Brien, explained: “The school children really enjoyed experiencing new outdoor activities and had great fun learning to work as a team to complete exciting tasks. It is a positive step to be able to rely on the support from a local business such as Taylor Wimpey to help take the children out of the classroom to learn new skills and develop lifelong experiences and memories that will stay with them for many years.”

Anne Rodgers, sales executive at Roseberry Court, said: “We’re extremely proud to be able to support a local school to provide their pupils with brand new and exciting learning opportunities and help them experience the great outdoors.

St Joseph’s Primary school is local to Roseberry Court development which has a large number of families and we are pleased to be able to support a local school to help ensure children in the area can learn new skills and flourish.”

As well as a great range of family-sized properties, Roseberry Court also enjoys an ideal location. Situated in the middle of Middlesbrough, it is perfect for commuters or homeowners wanting easy access to a wide selection of local amenities.

Just a short drive from the A19, A66 and Durham Tees Valley Airport, the development is well-placed for those looking to travel further afield too.
