Kissimmee has always rated high with luscious green golf courses in terms of quality and quantity with many offering a distinct British flair.

Awash in glorious sunshine throughout the year and easily accessible, Kissimmee boasts a myriad of the world’s finest courses from the unspoiled classics to modern designs by golf icons such as Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer.

ChampionsGate

As its name suggests ChampionsGate boasts 36 holes of championship golf which has been designed by International golf champion Greg Norman and resembles fast fairways and bunkers similar to those found in Scotland and Ireland.  In addition to a pristine range, ChampionsGate boasts a 35,000 square foot clubhouse featuring a pro shop and full-service bar.  David Leadbetter, the instructor of many world-famous professional golfers, including Nick Price, Ernie Els, Michelle Wie, Trevor Immelman, Ian Poulter and Greg Norman, personally selected ChampionsGate as its HQ for the prestigious David Leadbetter Golf Academies.

Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club

Mystic Dunes public course appeals to a wide variety of golfers thanks to its highly accessible location and picturesque surroundings.  Golfers are given the option to mix up the game courtesy of a course that offers two distinctively difference nines - the front nine is reminiscent of classic Caroline courses cut through with marsh area and wetlands, while the back nine are strongly likened to a British links course complete with bunkers and lush fairways.

Royal St. Cloud

Touted as the leading course within the central Florida region, the beautiful Royal St Cloud Golf Club is an impressive layout of 27 holes of American-style links uniquely patterned after courses typically found in the UK.  Golfers will experience wide fairways and fast conditions making it challenging yet suitable for all levels.

Harmony Golf Preserve

Original treasure, Harmony Golf Preserve, is an award winning course artfully designed around the landscape’s broad meadows, towering southern pines and two shimmering 500 acre natural lakes that make it a natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife.  This stunning 18 hole course, designed by US Open Champion, Johnny Miller, is packed with character and has won numerous honours from leading golf organisations for maintaining its high quality.

Golf Academies

If you need to improve your swing, visitors can also take advantage of Kissimmee’s golfing academies.  The David Leadbetter Golf Academy was thought up by golf legend David Leadbetter and boasts a high profile professional client list.  The academy helps golfers, young and old, beginners and veteran players, to learn the basics and hone their skills under the watchful eye of top-flight teachers and golfers.   A second academy, the ANNIKA Academy located at the Reunion Resort and Club, is a boutique-style academy incorporating the practices of swing coach and personal trainer, one-on-one instruction, two large hitting booths for covered swing training, and video analysis among other features.

The latest addition to Kissimmee’s impressive golf academies is the Aaron Fagan Golf Academy located at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club.  Aaron opened the academy in November 2010 and is a graduate of the Leadbetter ChampionsGate academy where he held a leading position as DLGA Senior Certified Instructor for over nine years.  The new academy offers various instructional programming for all golfers including private one to one tuition, half day sessions and on course lesions.
