Thanks to the excellent customer service offered by the sales team at Bloor Homes’ Ampthill Heights development in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, Sophie Shirley and partner Phillip Wiese were able to part exchange their previous 2 bedroom house to reserve a 3 bedroom home off plan in just 3 days.

The couple visited Ampthill Heights on the Wednesday, had their former home valued on the Thursday, then agreed the price and reserved their plot on the Friday. Sophie explains: “Bloor’s part exchange programme made the whole experience of buying and selling a new home very quick and easy. The sales team were excellent and helpfully guided us through everything. Bloor even paid the 5% deposit for us, which was amazing. We are now really looking forward to moving into our new home at the end of May, just a few months after we first looked at the development.”

Sophie continues: “Our new home at Ampthill Heights was the ideal choice as it will provide a perfect family home with lots of storage space. This has become even more essential since our son Freddie was born on the 21 April and his things are already literally everywhere. Most importantly, the development is within the catchment area of excellent schools including The Firs Lower School, Alameda Middle School and Redbourne Upper School which will take Freddie through all of his school years.”

Sophie adds; “The location within Ampthill was also very important, as my Mum who I run a childminding company with, my brother and nephew all live here. In addition, Philip works in Bedford which is only a 20minute drive away.”

Ampthill Heights offers a range of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses which have been carefully designed to provide a range of family homes. Sophie and Philip bought a three bedroom home which offers a spacious lounge, a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast area and a guest cloakroom on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, including the master bedroom which has an ensuite bathroom and fitted wardrobes. There is also a family bathroom.

Ampthill is a market town in the heart of rural Bedfordshire. Surrounded by open, wooded countryside and picturesque villages, the town offers a good range of shops, restaurants and public houses. There are also good leisure facilities for all of the family to enjoy, including Kempston Swimming Pool, Milbrook Golf Club and Ampthill Park which has 160 acres of parkland and woodland.

For commuters, nearby Flitwick and Milbrook railway stations offer good rail links to Bedford, Milton Keynes and London St Pancras. There are also bus services from Ampthill to Milton Keynes and Bedford, whilst by road the M1 and A6 offer good access to both of these two cities as well as Northampton and Rugby in the North and Luton, St Albans and Watford in the South.

Prices at Ampthill Heights start from £264,950 for a three bedroom house. For further sales information, visit the Sales Centre, which is open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm. Or, visit bloorhomes.com.
