Just the final few properties now remain at Persimmon Homes’ Nightingales development in Bridgwater and price reductions mean house-hunters will need to act quickly before these homes are snapped up.

Nina Hester, sales director for Persimmon Homes South West, comments: “Nightingales is a lovely development which is part of the new Stockmoor Village community which will see play areas, shops, a pub, community hall and a leisure centre.

“The new purpose-built primary school is already open, making it an ideal development for families.”

The final six properties of this phase of the development are now available including the last Asholt house-type on plot 386. Perfect for first time buyers, the Asholt is a two bedroom mid terrace property with a garage.

It has a living room, kitchen and cloakroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. It is priced at £129,995 but is also available through the new government funded FirstBuy scheme, bringing the price down to just £103,996.

The scheme is open to first time buyers with a household income of less than £60,000. Purchasers are offered an equity loan of up to a maximum of 20 per cent of the purchase price and gain a mortgage for the remaining amount. For the first five years, there is no interest to pay on the equity loan.

For growing families, the development has five larger properties available. The final Glastonbury on plot 397 is priced at £239,995 and is a superb four bedroom detached home. Its spacious interior includes a large dual aspect living room and a stunning master bedroom with an en suite and a dressing room.

There are also four Killerton house-types left, priced from £234,995. The largest of the properties available, the four bedroom detached Killerton offers plenty of space for all the family including a study on the ground floor and a large kitchen / dining room. It also has a double garage and double parking, and plot 391, priced at £249,995 enjoys a big South facing garden.

Nightingales is conveniently located just off Junction 24 of the M5, leading to Exeter in half an hour and Bristol in 40 minutes. A great night out is within walking distance at The Venue @ j24 where top bands regularly play and sporting events and exhibitions are held. Those looking for quieter pastimes can walk to the largest country park in Bridgwater and enjoy the green open spaces on the development.

The town centre of Bridgwater is less than three miles away with a choice of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and a railway station. And a host of community amenities, plus a bus route, are planned for the development itself.

Persimmon is currently offering homes under the Government-supported FirstBuy initiative and with its own Part Exchange deal at Nightingales.
