Happy homebuyers find ideal property in Stratford

Property purchasers Darren Campion and Claire North fell in love with the location of Taylor Wimpey’s The Hathaways development of new homes for sale in Stratford-upon-Avon.
They say home is where the heart is, and for Darren Campion and his fiancée Claire North that’s certainly the case at The Hathaways, Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after collection of houses for sale in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The happy couple are on Cloud Nine after relocating from Redditch to their brand new property in Stratford-upon-Avon, a town that’s close to both of their hearts.
The birthplace of William Shakespeare is where Darren and Claire spent their first date together, where they plan to get married and where they are now living life to the full at The Hathaways development of new build homes in Stratford-upon-Avon.
“We visited the site before building work had started, when it was just a large expanse of earth, but we saw past that and fell in love with the location,” says Darren, looking back on the couple’s first trip to this popular collection of new homes in Stratford-upon-Avon.
“Stratford is somewhere we both love, and The Hathaways is in the perfect spot for us.
“We enjoy walking to the town centre along the canal towpath, which takes about 20 minutes. We also have the Welcombe Hills on our doorstep, where we have been enjoying some fantastic walks, the River Avon is also nearby and we are just a 10-minute drive from the edge of the Cotswolds.”
Commuting is also a breeze for Darren (34), a Senior Producer for Leamington-based video games company Codemasters, and Claire (31), a Biomedical Scientist at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
“The development’s the right side of Stratford for us, being handy for both the A46 and M40, meaning commuting is not a problem at all, and Claire even has the bonus of a really picturesque route to work,” adds Darren.
Darren and Claire’s love for the location is matched by their affection for their brand new four-bedroom ‘Kenilworth’ detached house.
“We visited another Taylor Wimpey development in Rugby so we could explore the ‘Kenilworth’ showhome there, and we loved everything about it,” says Darren.
“It’s a proper, large traditional-style house with plenty of space. We had found with other developers that the smaller bedrooms were not big enough for our liking, but with the ‘Kenilworth’, they are all really good sizes.
“The downstairs rooms are spacious and we love the fact we have our own study and a separate dining room.
“To have French doors to the garden from both the lounge and the kitchen is something we really like, as you get great views through them, and they let so much light in.
“The garden itself is a really good size that’s perfect for our dog Dillon to run around in.”
Darren and Claire also enjoyed the perfect move to The Hathaways, thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s popular easymover initiative.
This fantastic incentive, available on selected plots at the development, sees Taylor Wimpey takes the stress out of selling a property by finding a buyer for the customer’s existing home in an average of five to six weeks.
“Taylor Wimpey were excellent throughout the process, and we were really happy with the way things progressed,” says Darren.
“With my previous home, which was a new-build with another company, I felt like I was just another number. But with Taylor Wimpey, the staff go above and beyond what you may expect, to make sure you are totally happy before and, more importantly, after you have moved in.”
The ‘Kenilworth’ property design is just one of a wide selection of houses available to purchase now at The Hathaways and is priced from only £359,995. Other properties on sale at the development include delightful two-bedroom houses from as little as £209,995, three-bedroom designs from just £249,995 and four-bedroom detached houses from only £319,995.
The Hathaways lies just off Bishopton Lane, near The Avenue in Stratford, and is bordered by mature trees, hedges and green open spaces that give it a tranquil, semi-rural ambience.
A host of everyday amenities is on the doorstep, with local buses providing regular services to and from the town centre, and Maybird Shopping Park just a short stroll from home.
Commuters will appreciate that The Hathaways is only a short drive from the A46 Northern bypass for quick links to Leamington, Coventry and the M40 for London and Birmingham. Regular, direct rail services operate from Stratford station to London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill, while Birmingham International Airport is a little over 25 miles away.
The area is also home to a choice of good schools for children of all ages, and a wide range of family attractions are within easy reach, including Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds, Worcester, the Malverns and Warwick Castle.
Home-hunters can visit The Hathaways Sales and Marketing Suite and showhomes, off Bishopton Lane, Stratford, CV37 0RJ, and open daily from 10am to 5pm.
